Noah’s Perfect Playground

Noah Parker Xavier Donovan was a miracle baby, born with hydrocephalus—a condition that prevents fluid from draining properly from the brain. Despite his diagnosis, Noah defied the odds and filled every day with light and joy.

By the age of two, Noah was endlessly curious. He loved exploring the world around him, playing with his favorite toys, listening to music, and spending time outdoors.

Tragically, Noah’s shunt malfunctioned, leading to cardiac arrest. His mother, Rebecca, and paramedics performed CPR for over 40 minutes. Although he fought bravely, the prolonged lack of oxygen caused severe brain damage. On May 31st, just weeks before his third birthday, Noah passed away in the loving arms of his parents.

Throughout Noah’s life, his parents searched for a playground he could safely navigate—one without steep drop-offs, stairs, or uneven surfaces. Most existing playgrounds cater to ages 2–5 or 6–12, leaving a gap for babies and toddlers and younger children with developmental delays- specifically balance and coordinaton.

To honor Noah’s memory, his family hopes to build—or expand—a playground designed for children aged 6 months to 2 years. This space would be safe, accessible, and developmentally appropriate, allowing young children and those with similar challenges to explore, play, and thrive.

This playground would be a meaningful tribute to Noah and a valuable gift to the community.
